Y11 Football Team are in the County Shield Final!

Uckfield College U16’s v Blatchington Mill in the Sussex Shield Semi Final

Uckfield 3 - 0 Blatchington Mill


Year 11 win the Semi Final 3-0 against Blatchington Mill School. A superb performance from all the boys, particularly goal keeper Oisin McWalter and right midfielder Jacob Doherty who scored a  hat trick. The boys will now play in the final at Lancing FC in April.

Y11 Football Team - Oisin Mcwalter, Fionn Mcateer, Tom Langford (C), Daniel Scantlebury, Harry Coldbreath, Andy Feist, Stirling Brooks, Tom Rummery, Ben Walter, Jacob Doherty (MOM), Tommy Taylor, Callum Alsobrook, Lewis Ely, Sebastian Smith, Freddie Standing and Jake Barden.


A Level PE Student Casey Coats wins national award.

Last weekend Casey Coats was invited by Badminton England to attend the Yonex All England Badminton Championships in Birmingham. As well as watching the badminton and going behind the scenes of this major event, Casey attended the 25 year anniversary dinner and National Badminton Awards where she was presented with the "National Young Volunteer of the Year" award. She was presented this for the excellent work she has done with young people through her Badminton coaching. Well done Casey - a very well deserved award.



Year 9 Uckfield College Student Jonny Smith selected by Harlequins!!!   

Jonny Smith has been selected by Harlequins to be part of their DPP Rugby academy programme. This is an intensely competitive programme that is very hard to get into, only the best get a spot. Well done Jonny, huge, huge achievement.




We also had lost of netball games played this week! Some great games against Heathfield, and a two tournaments against North Weald Schools. All teams Year 7 - 11 competed in what was described by Mrs Levett and Miss Shipley as ‘some very promising performances, that showed real development in skill and gamesmanship’.  Well done to all those involved.

Well done to the year 10 team (below) who performed particularly well and finished 2nd in their tournament ((POM Lucy Wainwright)).  

Great netball fixtures against Heathfield, Y8 netball team lost 5-22  ((POM Izzy Lynch)) Y9’s 8-14 ((POM Alex Pengelly)). Two losses but it’s the taking part that counts. Mrs Levett said “both teams are making excellent progress”. Well done girls!!
