Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)

Required for September 2025

 We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and ambitious teacher, who is passionate about Languages, to join our forward thinking MFL team.  A career at Uckfield College offers a rewarding future, with the opportunity to make real changes to the lives and outcomes of our young people.  The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and proactive professional who will be responsible for providing excellent teaching in the classroom for MFL (French and Spanish) and who will contribute to our exceptional Super Curricular programme.  This position would be suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced educator.  We would consider part-time arrangements for this position.

Pabulum - Catering Assistant 

20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10.30am - 2.30pm – term time only £11.44 per hour ​

You will help our team prepare and cook food from fresh, seasonal ingredients, serve our young customers, and clear and clean up after service. Experience in a catering environment would be great and we will also support further training for the right person. A satisfactory Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required which Pabulum will pay for and we provide a uniform to wear.

We are wholly committed to our staff’s professional development and believe in providing personalised research-based professional learning through our innovative PLD programme, in which teachers have the opportunity to choose an area of their pedagogy to improve. This is supported by our own excellent teaching and learning website, which has a wealth of evidence based learning, along with the chance to develop pedagogy in cross-curricular triad groups.

For our highly valued support staff there are regular training opportunities and a dedicated development day each year. We believe strongly in working collaboratively and are also proud of our long standing participation in the Wealden Partnership. This includes joint professional learning through leadership programmes and an annual joint development day which brings three local secondary schools together to strive for excellence through collaboration.
