Uckfield College students celebrate GCSE and vocational exam success!

There were lots of happy and relieved faces this morning as students at Uckfield College opened their results. The wait was finally over and many students were rewarded with fantastic grades after their hard work and commitment.

We know that success comes in many different forms and are immensely proud of all of our students’ achievements. Overall, 23% of all grades were 7-9 (A*-A); 56% of all grades were 5-9 (A*-B); 73% of all grades were 4 or higher (A*-C). There were some incredible individual performances, and the vast majority of students made extremely strong progress from their starting points.

Sara Marshallsay, Principal, said, "Many congratulations to all our students. Seeing so many of you thrilled with your achievements this morning has been a genuine pleasure. Beyond your academic success, I am particularly proud of how you’ve navigated the significant challenges of the last few years, growing in resilience and developing such positive personal attributes. I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff for their years of support and teaching, and to all the parents and carers who have championed these brilliant young people along the way. I am confident that all of you will go on to achieve great things, whether you are staying with us in our Sixth Form or embarking on your next chapter elsewhere; we wish you all the very best."

Simon Webster, Deputy Principal, said, "We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 pupils and their impressive achievements. These results reflect incredible hard work, perseverance, and the real depth of our Key Stage 4 curriculum. The vast majority have secured the grades required to take their next steps into our Sixth Form, college, or training. It has been a privilege to see them succeed; we are immensely proud of what they have accomplished, and look forward to seeing them build on these firm foundations."
