A Level Results Day 2026
BackAspiration and Achievement: Uckfield College Sixth Form Celebrates 2026 Results
Uckfield College students are celebrating another year of fantastic A-level and BTEC results. There was an atmosphere of joy and celebration this morning as students opened their envelopes and saw the rewards of their hard work!
Following their dedication and commitment over the last two years, our students are now preparing to take up a diverse array of university places, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities. 87% of UCAS applications have been placed in their first choice with a further 9% being placed in their insurance choice. 48% of students achieved places at the prestigious Russell Group universities and on top courses at other leading universities for specific subjects.
Some of the exciting student destinations include Production and Technical Arts: Stage & Screen at LAMDA, Business & Management at the University of Leicester, a degree apprenticeship in law, Medicine at Queen Mary University, Fine Art (Photography) at Glasgow School of Art, Medicine at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, and Archaeology at the University of Cambridge!
The results achieved by our students this year in our inclusive Sixth Form were once again very strong and very significantly higher than national rates of progress. At A-level, 28% of all entries were awarded the top grades of A or A*, with 61% achieving A*-B and an impressive 86% achieving A*-C. Our BTEC students also saw incredible success, with over 10% achieving a double Distinction*, 52% securing Distinction*/Distinction or higher, and 83% achieving Distinction/Distinction or above.
We are thrilled that our 2026 outcomes continue to place Uckfield College as a top provider for post-16 education and these examination outcomes represent the second highest in the College’s history.
In April 2024, Uckfield College Sixth Form was evaluated by OFSTED as ‘Outstanding’ and was described as an ‘exceptional experience’. In addition to the excellent teaching and results, the Sixth Form was highly commended for its pastoral care, UCAS support and highly individualised personal development support and education for each student.
Sara Marshallsay, Principal, commented: ‘I want to extend my huge congratulations to all our Uckfield College students for their brilliant achievements today, and to thank our talented, committed staff for their unwavering dedication. These results reflect the hard work and talent of our students, supported by our fantastic team at the College. We are also incredibly grateful to the parents and carers who have supported them along the way. While we celebrate these academic successes, we are equally proud of the outstanding personal qualities our students demonstrate—their resilience, kindness, and aspiration. We wish every single one of them the very best of luck as they begin the next exciting chapter of their lives.’
Head of Sixth Form Gemma Fassam added: “It has been a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our students today. They have shown great commitment, resilience and perseverance throughout the year, and their results are a real reflection of the effort they have put in. It is particularly lovely to see so many of our students moving on to the courses, apprenticeships and pathways they had hoped for. We are delighted to see their hard work rewarded and excited to see what the future holds for each of them. We wish them every happiness and success as they take their next steps.”
We recognise that achievement comes in many forms and send our congratulations to every individual student who succeeded, particularly those who had to overcome serious challenges along the way.
